A standard website explains your business. A web application can help people do something: sign in, view account information, submit a request, manage a booking, or work through a process. That changes the scope, ongoing costs, and responsibility involved.
Examples include customer or member portals with account access, staff dashboards with different permissions, database-backed records and reporting, custom request workflows, booking integrations, and connections to existing business systems. A rewards program or online ordering flow also needs a separate discussion of the rules, platform, and data it involves.
Discovery covers who will use the system, the actions each role can take, what information is stored, how it connects to other tools, and what the business needs when something goes wrong. Login design includes account recovery and access control, not just a sign-in screen.
We discuss hosting, database costs, backups, security controls, testing, email delivery, maintenance, and ongoing support before confirming a proposal. Sensitive or regulated information and specialized compliance requirements require an explicit feasibility review; a standard website plan does not establish those capabilities.
The right answer may be an existing booking, membership, commerce, or customer-management platform rather than entirely custom software. We consider that option first when it offers a better fit. For payments, the preferred approach is to use an established payment provider rather than store card details ourselves.

Can you build logins, portals, or a database?
Yes, these are custom web application projects. We first discuss users, permissions, workflows, integrations, data sensitivity, security needs, and ongoing support. Existing tools may be a better fit than a new custom system. Pricing and timelines come after that discovery.
What is a standard page?
An informational page using your site's agreed design, such as Home, About, Services, Gallery, or Contact. A booking platform, customer dashboard, online store, custom calculator, or unusually large content section is not a standard page. Additional standard pages are $100 each.
How long will my project take?
Your schedule depends on scope, current availability, content readiness, and how quickly feedback and approvals arrive. We confirm a realistic timeline in your proposal rather than promise the same launch date for every project.
Can I discuss IT needs with Urias Tech?
Yes. Tell us about computer or device issues, Wi-Fi and networking, business email, productivity tools, or technology planning. We confirm project fit and availability before proposing any work. IT work is separately scoped; your website or SEO plan does not include computer, network, or help-desk support.
